Getting Back After it , Happy Halloween

While Nebby, Crill, and S dot party in Philly for the weekend (pretending to be Phillies fans), I am left here holding the fort down and checking out the ridiculous Halloween costumes in NYC.
I for once am actually feeling good about a couple bets today:
10 point tease:
florida -4.5 at home against georgia, georgia tech -1 at vandy, and penn state -7 at northwestern for 2 units
Against the spread
Syracuse +15.5 at home against Cincinnati .. straight contrarian play as 80% of the money is on the big east leaders. Cuse plays much better at home and Pike is out for Cincy so we will roll the dice for 1 unit
Ok state +9 at home against Texas ... like Desmond Howard, I am feeling an upset win for ok state to really mess with the BCS .. for 1 unit .. I kind of like this game money line but I will take the points
Money Line
My upset pick of the weekend: Oregon is going to beat USC today. Oregon is a tough place to play and I see Barkley finally having some freshman moments. 1 unit at +130
BC tidbit: No, I am not going to pay for a BC win today. Win or lose, the game has no meaning to the end goal of the ACC championship. It would not surprise me for our guys to come out flat and lose but I believe in Spaz and think the team rallies together led by Shinksie and BC gets the win.

NFL Week 7 - Legit Scared

After the Jets left me without any will to live and unsure of my direction in life last Sunday, I was truly thinking about taking this week off. But I saw an opportunity with 2 underdogs I like, so I'm getting back on the horse.

Atlanta (over Dallas) moneyline parlayed with Minnesota (over Pittsburgh) moneyline:
0.5 units to win 4 units.

week 6 (losing) picks

10 point tease
ny jets, jags, pats for 1 unit

Against the Spread
ravens +3 at minny for 1 unit

I think Nebby just mushed Matty Ice

NFL Week 6 - A FUCKING TEN! Point Tease

S Dot and Diddy post pictures of scantily clad ladies, so I had to follow suit.  I was going to throw up the understated sexiness of Billy Bob, but any outdated Varsity Blues reference will do.

The (FUCKING!) 10 point tease paid off for me last week, and there are 3 games I am positive about today.

Buffalo Bills at New York-A Jets
New York to win (+0.5) - Diddy was a week early.  No way the Jets lose to the Bills at home.

St. Louis Rams at Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville to win (+0.5) - Mike Sims-Walker got all his nookie in by curfew this week, and helps the Jags pummel the Rams.  Betting against Kyle Boller shouldn't even count.

Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers
Green Bay to win (-4.0) - No Stafford or Megatron means a Packers romp.  This is going to be messier than a keg party at Superdive.

3.9 units to win 3 units.  Boom!

I also just hammered this as a 3 team parlay I love it so much.  Those are some big lines, but I predict 3 double digit victories. 0.3 units to win 1.8 units.

Oh and PS:  So hot!!1!!1!1!111!!

Motown Philly Back Again!

A few lock monsters for the really desperate among us...

Eagles (-14) at home against Oakland

I'm tired of not making money off of Oakland...they suck and it's time to cash in. Load up on the Eagles.

Patriots (-9.5) at home against Tennessee

Don't let the weather scare you...the Pats are rolling at home.

Atlanta (-3.5) at home against Chicago

Matty Ice vs. Jay Cutler it's as simple as that...let's go Falcons.

1 unit on each game....let the week of the favorite begin.

i just wanna be, i just wanna be sussessful

eagles -2.5 to win 1 unit

Bad Sign for BC

Paying for BC Wins has cost me 3 units and helped BC win 2 ACC games. So in a must-win, bounce back game for the Eagles against former coach Tom O'Brien, I need to help the boys out. Before the past couple of seasons, Nebby A and I would hammer BC in every game..didn't matter what the line was. More often that not, BC covered. If we ever saw a line BC -2.5 at home against NC State, we would throw LARGE. Now that I am a seasoned bettor(lol), I took a quick look at wagerline this morning and saw that EVERY monkey out there (like nebby and myself) is on BC today to the tune of 72% of the bets. It is the highest % favorite at home on the day. We all know what happens when Joe Public and his boys LOAD up on a game. Makes the NC State play a no brainer. 1 unit on NCST today knowing BC is going to lose. LETS GO EAGLES!

red river shootout

..to win 1 unit

I Just Mushed Texas

5 Team Moneyline Parlay:
Uconn (-13 at home over Louisville) over Louisville, Miami (-13.5 at UCF), Penn St (-17 at home over Minny) , Nebraska (-10.5 at home over texas Tech), and Michigan State (-14 at home over Northwestern ..1 unit wins 1.26

10 point tease
Arkansas +34.5 at Florida, USC pick'em at ND, and Wake Forest +17.5 at Clemson for 1 unit

Against the Spread
Texas -3 over ALL THE SOONER FANS (see below) for 1 unit

Games I like but am not touching(I'm 3-3 in this segment):
Maryland +3.5 at home against Virginia and South Carolina +18 at Alabama

LET ME TELL YOU WHY I SUCK!

I loved the Pats yesterday and paid the price...should have stayed away as soon as Diddy called it "Easy Money", but couldn't resist. TB and BB were completely overmatched in the second half and OT....and a special thanks to Stephen "Ghost Face Killa" Gostkowski for pushing a 40-yarder. What the fuck is he doing all day in practice?

I'm actually beginning to think that games are won and lost on the back of the poor team i jump all over. With that in mind and since Diddy helped jinx the Pats yesterday, i'm going to return the favor by taking the J-E-T-S. Here we go Mahhhhrrrrrrrkkkkkkkk.

Shocker Special! Chiefs Over Cowboys

Just a guy feeling, but I am liking the Chiefs today at home against the Cowboys. Dallas will be without Roy Williams and Felix Jones, and I think the Chiefs have a decent shot at pulling off the upset over clinically depressed Tony Homo. To do that they are going to have to put up points, so I'm going with over on 43.5.
Come on Matt Cassel, let's show everyone why you were worth all that dough. Chiefs moneyline parlayed with the over: 0.3 units to win 2 units.

Dominated Crill..Now on to Week 5

First off, is Vanderbilt serious????? Losing to Army?? Are you kidding me? Army sucks. Everyone and their mom knows that. I don't even care that they caused me to lose the bet. Any team Vandy beats the rest of the season should just cancel their season solely because if you lose to Army you are the worst D1 team out there.

Anyway... POUND the JETS this weekend. Risk your rent and/or your lunch money. Rex Ryan doesn't lose rookie/2nd yr qb's. Ryan backs up all talk. I honestly feel bad for Crowder. I am sure there is a play designed for Mangold to light him up. Yeah I'm doing it. 3 units on the J-E-T-S -2. Seriously.

EASY MONEY Bet #2
Patriots -3. Do it. 2 units.

10 point tease
Vikings -.5 over the Rams, Steelers -1 , cincy +19 1 unit. No brainer.

NFL Week 5 - Playing it Safe

OK, I need a sure win today, so I'm going with a 10 point teaser for a little extra cushion.
2.6 units to win 2 units.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Phila. Eagles: Phila. to win (-6.0) - Andy Reid has never lost after a Bye week, McNabb is back, and the Bucs are possibly the worst team in the NFC. TD victory is in the bag.
Oakland Raiders at New York Giants: New York to win (-5.5) - Eli is playing, the Raiders had to travel and long way, and with McFadden hurt they can't run or throw the ball. I think they'd win by 10 even if David Carr was under center. Actually even if S Dot was playing - and we all remember how he handled the flag football pressure...
Minnesota Vikings at St. Louis Rams: Minnesota to win (-1.0) - What's that smell? I think Kyle Boller just took a dump in his pants thinking about Jared Allen and the Williams twins having their way with him. Darren Sharper is probably taking another INT to the house.

gimme 20 dollars, gimme 20 dollars

back on the horse.. took a little while to shake off the beatdown from a couple sundays ago. more picks to come, but had to get this one in before kickoff. HAMMERING tennessee today. 70% of wagerline on uga ?!?!?!211?!?! it's me and you again, layla. to win 2 units.

We ARE! Throwing BC in a Tease

Have to get to Still so not much time to elaborate, but I consider this bet FREE MONEY.

Put BC and the Under in a 6 point tease and you can start counting the winnings. The weather is going to suck, Lane Stadium is not as intimidating with the noon start, and a hot BC team is simply not going to lose by almost 3 TDs.

BC +19.5 and Under 50.5 at -110. 1.1 units to win 1 unit.

Heavy Road Underdogs + Moneylines? Yes Please, Sign Me Up...

Last time I got involved with the Big East and a heavy underdogs on the road it paid dividends, and I'm going back to the well today with this two team parlay.

I like UConn on the road (they are 2-0 traveling) against Pittsburgh today. The Huskies have only given up 60 points total this season, and I see them halting Stull and the Panthers passing attack. Everyone knows we have to see a Dave Wandstadt meltdown at some point, and this is the week. Again, I hate giving UConvict respect, but I actually think they have a solid squad that continues to move the ball well on the ground. They pull it out by a FG in the Iron City.

Over to the Big Ten, where I am high on Indiana heading into Charlottesville to play Virginia. If the Cavs don't somehow pull out a W over Butch Davis and UNC last week, they are 100% getting points in the game. For some reason they have the Tar Heels number, and I chalk that W up to a total FLUKE - like that one time Ben and Buck beat me and S Dot in beer pong. The Hoosiers showed me something in their close loss to Michigan, and I see them beating up on this ACC bottom dweller today.

UConn moneyline parlayed with Indiana moneyline at +1000. 0.4 units to win 4 units.

Break Out Weekend...

Its time to get back on track with some money making ideas:

4 team moneyline parlay:
South Carolina (-9.5) over Kentucky, Wake (-12.5)over Maryland, Vandy(-10) over Army, and Ohio State(-15) over Wisconsin.... Not a single game makes me nervous.. If I had to pick one it would be the Vandy game because I don't know anything about them - all I know is that Army sucks and should not beat an SEC team. 1 unit to win 1.21 units

Straight up:
LSU to win at home against Florida. I just have this feeling that Tebow is not going to play. This Florida team lacks the playmakers on offense and to start a redshirt frosh on the road at night at LSU (when Les Miles doesn't lose) doesn't bode well. The Tigers have not looked as strong as years past but they have gotten the job done on the road in the SEC and will open some eyes when they beat Florida. LSU at +250 for 1 unit

Against the Spread:
Arkansas +2.5 at home against Auburn. Auburn had a nice win last week at Tennessee and with their 5-0 record the media hype started to follow. Auburn has done all their other damage at home and to go on the road in the SEC and win 2 weeks in a row is a tough task. Ryan Mallet is playing studly for Arkansas. I see this being a close game so I will take the points for 1 unit.

2 team 6.5 point teaser:
I like both Pitt (-7 at home against UCONN) and Virginia (-6.5 at home against Indiana) to win but I don't like giving up the points so 1 unit on this tease.

And lastly I am torn what to do with my BC Eagles today. My heart says we can win and my head tells me I saw what happened to Miami in Blacksburg in the rain and what Clemson did to us in the rain. And I don't like that Eddie George (yes, he's a rivals analyst) picked BC as his upset pick of the week. I don't like when we get media attention because we thrive without it. I want to "pay for a win" but 13.5 is too much. So for once I am just going to root for the upset with no action on it. LETS GO EAGLES!!!!!

Other games that I like but won't touch:
Bama -4.5 at Ole Miss... LOVE bama in this game but so does 70% of wagerline so for once I am using my brain and not touching it. Vegas can't be that dumb right?
Tenn -1.5 at home against Georgia..Solely because Wagerline loves Georgia and the public hate Lane Kiffin. Actually Tennessee makes a lot of sense here but I have too much SEC action today.

So You're Telling Me There's a Chance?

What was all that one in a million talk? Admittedly this is not a likely W, but I think it has a chance and like the odds at +1600.

I parlayed the Jets moneyline with the Lions moneyline: .25 units to win 4 units. I think it's worth the (long)shot.

If this hits I'll be happier than S Dot was to narrowly avoid another arrest at the hands of the BCPD.

NFL Week 4 - Another 5 Team Tease? DUMB!

OK, if I get burned again on a teaser I swear I am laying off of them for awhile. It's like my meth addiction - I just can't kick it. This bad boy is a 6.5 pointer paying out at +350. I feel good about these 5 matchups and threw down 0.5 units to win 1.75.

Cincinnati
+0.0

Cincinnati Bengals at Cleveland Browns - All everyone is talking about is how putrid the Browns are so it must be true. Derek Anderson's 3 interceptions in the 2nd half last week may have been good enough to win him the starting job, but they won't win him this game.

San Fran.
-3.0

St. Louis Rams at San Fran. 49ers - I love the 49ers defense, and Glen Coffee is a more than adequate fill in for Frank Gore and his knees made of paper mache.

New York
-3.0

New York Giants at Kansas City Chiefs - Todd Haley is a terrible, terrible coach from the looks of things, and the G-Men are going to massacre the Chiefs. No Native American disrespect intended.

New York
+14.0

New York Jets at New Orleans Saints - The Saints and Jets are both hot, but the Jets defense is too good to let them lose by more than 2 TDs. Right? This is the game I am most worried about.

Indianapolis
-4.0

Seattle Seahawks at Indianapolis Colts - West Coast team travelling East spells trouble. The Colts by at least a touchdown, with Donald Brown going off.
